Pastor Horn was born August 24, 1978 in Beatrice, NE to Fritz and Katherine Horn.  He became a child of God through Holy Baptism on September 3, 1978.  Pastor Horn’s family moved to Rhinelander, WI where he attended grade school at Zion Lutheran School .  After another move to Milwaukee, Pastor finished his eighth grade year at Zion Lutheran in South Milwaukee and Good Shepherd in West Allis, WI .  Pastor was confirmed in the Christian faith at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in West Allis, WI by Pastor Ralph Scharf.  He attended Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee, WI which he graduated from in 1996.  He then studied at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN for four years and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2000.  Pastor then enrolled in Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI.  He received his Master of Divinity degree from the Seminary in 2004. 

           During his time at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Pastor Horn served a full year as a vicar (intern) at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Salt Lake City, Utah , under the supervision of his bishop, Michael Quandt.  Like all Wisconsin synod pastors, Pastor Horn received a thorough education in the individual books of the Bible, the languages of the Church (Hebrew, Greek, German, and Latin), homiletics (preaching), dogmatics (doctrine), education (teaching), pastoral counseling, etc.
